We're Getting Married!

Maszarine and Curtis first crossed paths in 2012 while working at a dine-in movie theater. It was a place where they shared late-night shifts and casual conversations, unknowingly laying the foundation for something special. The following year, in 2013, their friendship blossomed into a romance. Their first date was a memorable one, spent at Maszarine’s favorite Mexican restaurant, Jose Tejas—where they bonded over delicious food, laughter, and getting to know each other outside of work. From that moment on, the two of them were inseparable. What started as a simple connection grew into a deep and lasting partnership. Over the years, Curtis and Maszarine have shared countless memories, weathered challenges, and celebrated milestones, always together. Their journey has been full of love, laughter, and adventure—and they’ve been inseparable ever since that first date at Jose Tejas.

On Friday, April 5th, Curtis told Maszarine they were heading to Atlantic City for a quick getaway. Being that they frequent Atlantic City often, she didn't think twice about it. Upon arrival, Curtis took her to her favorite Italian restaurant, setting the stage for what seemed like just another lovely evening. However, when they arrived to the restaurant, Curtis told her he had left his wallet upstairs in their room and needed to go back to get it. Maszarine, not suspecting anything out of the ordinary, was left to wait. What she didn’t know was that Curtis was secretly preparing the most unforgettable proposal. When they returned to their room, Maszarine was met with a beautiful sight—Candles flickered softly, and roses lined a path leading her to Curtis, who was down on one knee, ready to ask the most important question of their lives. Overcome with emotion and excitement, Maszarine joyfully said yes. To make the day even more unforgettable, a huge earthquake hit New Jersey on this day, adding an unexpected and dramatic twist to what would already be a day they would never forget.
