The most serene plantation we've ever seen! Cassina Point Plantation was built in 1847 on Edisto island, just over an hour south of downtown Charleston. It's right on the Edisto River
Unfortunately, no. The house is a private residence. But we will get to enjoy the grounds. And it's all sorts of gorgeous, so you'll love it!
Yes! Anthony and I are getting married under a beautiful old oak covered in Spanish moss. But it will be likely be hot as heck! You can catch some shade during the cocktail hour. There will be a tent with fans for brunch and dancing. You can also catch some shade in a building on the dock. Tecla, the owner of Cassina, says sometimes dolphins swim down into the water there.
There are rentals on Edisto island, if you'd like to stay at the beach. There's a real all town feel to the island, but there's not a ton to do there besides relax. We have a hotel block at the Hampton Inn and Suites in West Ashley. This is about an hour to the wedding and 20 mins from both the rehearsal dinner site and historic downtown Charleston.
Please RSVP on this website by August 15th
Nope. Drive yo' self! However, if anyone wants to carpool from the hotel to Cassina, let us know. We can hook you all up. No matter what, don't follow your GPS to Cassina! There will be directions posted on here closer to the wedding date.
Google maps will bring you to the wrong side of the river! Soon we'll add some directions. Follow them! Ignore your phones!
We are starting at 11 so we can have a good brunch afterwards. We'll probably finish up around 3
We are discussing having an after party, but haven't planned anything yet. We'll get to that eventually
