New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

1751 Gentilly Blvd, New, LA 70119

Jazz Fest is one of the most famous festivals here in New Orleans and one of our absolute favorite events. Watch performances by household names and local musicians, eat incredible food, sip on delicious drinks, and explore all of the art, crafts, and culture the festival has to offer. Recommendations (based on our experience at the festival): >The festival is at the Fairground Racecourse & Slots, which is about 10-15 minutes from the French Quarter, and the best way to get to there is via uber or taxi. >The festival is a family friendly and entirely outdoor event. >Wear comfortable clothes (especially shoes!) and dress for the weather. In the event of rain, the event grounds can become pretty muddy so dress accordingly. >The festival allows you to bring in blankets or lawn chairs, which we recommend doing if you can. >The festival is a CASHLESS event, so be sure to bring a credit or debit card. Check out the FAQ section on the Jazz Fest website for more info.
