We're getting Married

Our story began in the simplest way — through Instagram. We had followed each other for a while, and every now and then he would reply to my stories and something about the way he spoke stood out. He wasn’t trying too hard. He was kind, Intentional and Real. I didn’t know it then, but God was already softening my heart.Not long after, we saw each other at a Christmas party. In the middle of the music and celebration, he sent me a message: “Save me a dance.” And I did. That dance felt simple, but I remember feeling so safe. What stayed with me most wasn’t just the music — it was the way he made sure I got home safely that night. It was steady. Protective. Gentle. That was the beginning. At the time, I wasn’t looking for a relationship. I was focused on my career, and I had always told myself I would never date someone from my hometown. I had my own plans. But God, in His faithfulness, had better ones. What started as friendship slowly grew into something deeper. We talked about everything — our dreams, our fears, our purpose. As our relationship grew, we both made a life-changing decision: we chose to fully give our lives to Jesus and make Him the foundation of our relationship. Our love didn’t just grow emotionally — it grew spiritually. We learned to pray together, seek God together, and build intentionally. “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:12 Nearly five years later, the same God who brought us together gave us the sweetest full-circle moment. He proposed in the very same spot where we had taken photos when we first started dating. Standing there again, ring in hand, it felt like God was reminding us: I was here in the beginning… and I am here in this new chapter too. From a message, to a dance, to a friendship, to a surrender to Christ — and now to forever. This is more than our love story. It’s proof that when you place God at the center, He writes something more beautiful than you ever could. 🤍✨

Nuestra historia comenzó de la manera más sencilla: a través de Instagram. Nos seguíamos desde hacía tiempo, y de vez en cuando respondía a mis historias, y algo en su forma de hablar me llamó la atención. No se esforzaba demasiado. Era amable, intencional y auténtico. No lo sabía entonces, pero Dios ya estaba ablandando mi corazón. Poco después, nos vimos en una fiesta de Navidad. En medio de la música y la celebración, me envió un mensaje: "Guárdame un baile". Y lo hice. Ese baile me pareció sencillo, pero recuerdo sentirme tan segura. Lo que más me impactó no fue solo la música, sino la forma en que se aseguró de que llegara a casa sana y salva esa noche. Fue constante. Protectora. Amable. Ese fue el comienzo. En ese momento, no buscaba una relación. Estaba centrada en mi carrera y siempre me había dicho que nunca saldría con alguien de mi ciudad natal. Tenía mis propios planes. Pero Dios, en su fidelidad, tenía mejores. Lo que comenzó como una amistad poco a poco se convirtió en algo más profundo. Hablamos de todo: nuestros sueños, nuestros miedos, nuestro propósito. A medida que nuestra relación crecía, ambos tomamos una decisión que nos cambió la vida: elegimos entregarnos por completo a Jesús y convertirlo en el fundamento de nuestra relación. Nuestro amor no solo creció emocionalmente, sino también espiritualmente. Aprendimos a orar juntos, a buscar a Dios juntos y a construir con propósito. “Un cordón de tres hilos no se rompe fácilmente.” — Eclesiastés 4:12 Casi cinco años después, el mismo Dios que nos unió nos regaló el momento más dulce para cerrar el círculo. Me propuso matrimonio en el mismo lugar donde nos habíamos tomado fotos cuando empezamos a salir. De pie allí de nuevo, con el anillo en la mano, sentí como si Dios nos recordara: Yo estaba aquí en el principio… y también estoy aquí en este nuevo capítulo. De un mensaje, a un baile, a una amistad, a una entrega a Cristo, y ahora a la eternidad. Esto es más que nuestra historia de amor. Es la prueba de que cuando pones a Dios en el centro, Él escribe algo más hermoso de lo que tú jamás podrías.
