Please be aware that you are traveling to high altitude, which can affect people in many different ways. Please drink plenty of water prior to traveling to Crested Butte and during your stay in Crested Butte.  We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. The water out of the faucet is high quality and safe to drink. 

Town of Crested Butte Altitude: 8,900 feet
Mt. Crested Butte Altitude: 9,115 feet

Things to be aware of:
1. Because you are breathing in less oxygen, you will likely experience shortness of breath. This is normal. 
2. You may experience a change of appetite. This is also normal. 
3. Alcohol has a greater affect at altitude and contributes to the potential for altitude sickness. Please drink responsibly. 

If you start to experience symptoms of altitude sickness (dizziness, headache, nausea), please visit the Sea Level Spa, located in downtown Crested Butte.
