Our Story begins 16 years ago. It was 2009 when Massey (Poochie) and I first crossed paths in Jackson, TN, courtesy of my cousins. Fresh out of college from UT Knoxville, I had just relocated to Jackson. My cousin persistently mentioned Massey every time we gathered, yet I always found myself wondering why he barely acknowledged me during these occasions—quite amusing, to be honest. Then, one fateful evening, my cousin and I found ourselves at a local bar in Jackson, accompanied by her boyfriend and his friend, Poochie. It was there that I finally introduced myself to Massey, and as the night unfolded, we engaged in deep conversation, getting to know each other better. Though we hung out a few times afterward, nothing too serious blossomed from those initial encounters. After playing hard to get, I finally caved in June of 2011 when Massey asked me to be his girlfriend. At the time, my son Aydan was just 8 months old, but we embarked on our journey together. Fast forward to 2014, and I found out I was pregnant with our daughter Mia, who came into the world in January 2015. Then, in October of 2022, during my uncle's 70th birthday party, Poochie, as we fondly call him, took me by surprise and proposed, kneeling before me in front of our family members. It was undeniably one of the most memorable and cherished nights of my life, and the beginning of a new chapter. Today, I am filled with immense gratitude for having found someone who loves me unconditionally, flaws and all. Massey is the missing piece to my puzzle, fitting perfectly into my life. He not only embraces my love but ensures that I always feel cherished in return. I feel incredibly blessed and thankful that our paths crossed. And to all of you, our beloved family and friends, who have supported us along the way, we are overjoyed to have you be a part of our big day!
