We’re getting married!!

Like many modern love stories, ours started on a dating app—or actually, two. We first matched on Bumble, where I thought Pete was cute and decided to give him a shot. But after a few “meh” messages (sorry, babe), I unmatched him for being a little too boring. Luckily, the universe—or Hinge—gave us a second chance. We matched again, started chatting, and this time actually made plans. Pete was late to our first date (setting the tone for life with him), but it turned into a 6–7 hour conversation that we never wanted to end. That night, I met my best friend… and a month later also got asked to be his girlfriend in what might be the cheesiest way possible: “Will you be my gluten-free cookie?” Naturally, I roasted him for that one, so in return, he made me say “I love you” first. Classic Pete. We moved in together pretty quickly after that, got our little corgi menace Rocco a couple of years later, and now, four years in, we’re getting married! We can’t wait to celebrate with the people we love most—and maybe even share a few gluten-free cookies along the way.
