How We Met - Brittany’s POV

We met in 2013 at a mutual job in Dallas, Tx. It all started with coworker happy hour at Beamers that Patrick planned. I didn’t have his phone number so I DM’d him on Facebook to see what time everybody was getting there. I showed up, had a little drink, and had a good time with everyone. We may or may not have danced together. Nothing major. From there we stayed in touch on FB Messenger and at work. I remember us having a day long conversation on FB then I slid him my number saying I was about to get offline although I had been messaging from my phone all day. ;) We stayed in contact and hung out for the first time after a work baby-shower that I hosted. We went out to eat with another coworker then he took me to Klyde Warren park where we talked and got to know each other better. Later that year he invited me to his birthday celebration at Bowl and Barrel where we took our first selfie together. February 2014, I asked him to be my valentine and he happily obliged. We went to Scat Jazz Club in Fort Worth followed by dinner at Max’s Wine Dive. Sometime in the Summer of 2014, he asked me to be his girlfriend and we’ve been inseparable ever since!

How We Met - Pat’s POV

Brittany and I met working for the same company. I was known for getting friends and coworkers together for Happy Hour at Beamers. Brittany and I were associates but not much more than that until one day I get a Facebook message from her asking about the details for the Happy Hour. I thought nothing of it until we all get out to Beamers. We're all having a good time, I look up and out of nowhere Brittany is walking up on me dancing like that old lady in the club after a few too many drinks. She wasn't drunk (I think) but this was a new side of her I didn't know because she always looked so mean at work. Our coworkers gassed her up with their ooos and awws. Confused and weirded out, I still obliged and danced with the old lady. 😂 We continued chatting via FB after that event and one day she slid me her phone number claiming she didn't want to use up her data. I then knew, SHE WANTED ME! I teased her about it but used that phone number, Do you hear me?!?!? She became a part of the crew joining us to lunch, etc where we'd just talk and get to know each other. She then started accepting my personal invitations to some of my favorite places around the city. The friendship organically grew from there with her getting an exclusive invite to my 2013 Burfday party. We got closer conversing and spending time and right when it was getting good, she got scared and tried to leave me alone before things got too serious. I understood but knew she'd come around. One random day after not talking for a while in early 2014, she invited me to the Casino because she clearly missed me. 😏 We reconnected naturally and picked up where we left off. She asked me to be her Valentine in 2014 and after that date I knew we'd spend many dates together. I asked Brittany to be my Girlfriend in the Summer 2014. She's been my greatest accomplishment to date and I’m certain she will be my Forever date.
