It all started with a few swipes… and then a few more. Over the course of five years, Nick and I matched on Hinge (and Bumble) five or six times. We’d exchange a message or two, then life would get in the way and we’d never actually meet. We both knew we were looking for something more: someone who loved God, was family-oriented, driven, competitive, and passionate about giving back. But finding that kind of connection felt just out of reach. Looking back now, we see it so clearly, God was working on both of us, preparing our hearts for the right time. And when that moment finally came, everything just clicked. After one final match (thankfully!), we started talking again. I asked Nick what his red flags were. His answer? “You’ll have to meet me to find out.” Bold move, right? He asked me to grab dinner at Eureka, and that was the beginning of it all. From the moment we met, it felt different. We had so much in common; it was almost uncanny. I couldn’t decide if I loved it or if it freaked me out a little! But as the night went on and we ended up at Dave & Buster’s, something shifted. I was excited, hopeful, and curious about what this could become. And within three months, we both knew: we were going to get married. It wasn’t just a feeling, it was something we’d both been praying for. And now, here we are, stepping into a brand new chapter as best friends and future husband and wife. We’re so grateful for God’s timing, for the journey that brought us here, and for all the adventures still to come.
