Flight
Rome's Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and Milan's Malpensa Airport (MXP) are the closest airports that offer international flights. You can get a connecting flight into the Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR), also known as Amerigo Vespucci Airport. We recommend the easiest route is to fly into Rome or Milan and get on a train to Florence.
Train
We recommend traveling by train into the Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station. We have gotten train tickets for around $15 from Rome to Florence over the years. This is by far the most economical and the best way to see the Tuscany while traveling. From there, you can coordinate a rental car among other guests, taxi, or contact M&G for specific accomondations.
Rental Car
Please consider renting a car during your stay. There are several rental car companies near the Florence train station that are easily accessible. The Sinkula Family, Brown Family, Bride and groom will all have a vehicle, but will not be able to fit everyone. Please coordinate designated drivers as those driving will need to acquire international drivers permits. Use the Link Below for more information on IDPs. https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html
House Or Rental
We rented this villa to accommodate our guests and wedding festivities. It sits atop a winery overlooking the Tuscan countryside, just a 30 minute drive from Florence. The guest information booklet will be sent to all guests prior to travel.
