1.

Acknowledgment of Inherent Risks

I acknowledge that this event is taking place on a working cattle ranch in the State of California. I understand that ranch properties contain inherent risks including, but not limited to: Uneven or unstable ground, holes, rocks, mud, and natural terrain Livestock behavior (cattle, horses, etc.), including unpredictable movements Ranch equipment, fencing, gates, and vehicles Allergens, dust, insects, and wildlife Weather-related conditions Areas not designed for general public recreation I voluntarily accept and assume all inherent risks associated with my presence on the ranch. If I choose to camp on the ranch property, I understand and agree to the following: The camping area is part of a working ranch and may contain uneven ground, natural hazards, wildlife, insects, and limited lighting. Guests are responsible for bringing their own camping equipment and ensuring it is set up safely. Open flames, campfires, or cooking devices may be restricted or prohibited depending on fire conditions. Quiet hours and any ranch-specific rules must be followed. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings, tents, vehicles, and equipment. Alcohol consumption increases risks of injury and guests remain fully responsible for their safety. No guest may enter restricted or operational ranch areas. I voluntarily assume all risks related to staying on the ranch property overnight, including but not limited to trip hazards, weather exposure, wildlife encounters, and nighttime visibility.

Release of Liability (Ordinary Negligence Only)

Pursuant to California law, I understand that a liability waiver cannot release claims involving gross negligence, reckless conduct, or willful misconduct. To the fullest extent permitted by California Civil Code §1668 and applicable case law, I hereby: Release, waive, and discharge the following parties from any liability for injuries, illness, property damage, or death resulting from ordinary negligence: The bride, groom, and their families Ranch owners, lessors, operators, employees, and agents Wedding coordinators, vendors, and service providers This release applies only to ordinary negligence and the inherent risks associated with a working ranch environment.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the released parties from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of my presence on the ranch, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.


4.

Assumption of Personal Responsibility

I agree to: Follow all posted signs, instructions, and restricted areas Stay away from livestock, equipment, and operational zones Wear appropriate footwear for uneven dirt and grass surfaces Supervise any minors in my care at all times I understand that failure to follow safety guidelines increases risk of injury.

5.

Medical Treatment Authorization

If necessary, I authorize emergency medical care and agree that I am financially responsible for any related costs.


6.

Binding Effect

This agreement is binding upon me and my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns. I confirm that I am at least 18 years old or accompanied by a parent/guardian who has also signed.
