Believe it or not, our love story starts with Mason dating one of my friends in the summer of 8th grade. This was the first time I was introduced to Mason, their relationship only lasted a few months. As I prepared for my 9th-grade year, I remember getting on the bus for the first day of school going over in my head the location of every class I had to attend that day over and over again. I made it to my first class of the day with success, the bell rung and I jump out of my seat to hurry to my next class. I enter the classroom and took a seat. A few moments later guess who walks in, yep you guessed, Mason Flinn Ziemba. Mason walked in with pure confidence wearing his Leonardtown High School football jersey, he walked straight to the back of the classroom to the last row of desks and took a seat. After a week or so of sitting in the same classroom admiring Mason from afar, I finally got the confidence to talk to him. I didn't know if he was interested in me or not but I couldn't wait around forever to find out, so I made the first move by talking to him (GO ME!!). Some time had passed and instead of Mason coming into the classroom and going straight to the back of the class he started to sit behind me. We became really good friends, we talked every day we even exchanged phone numbers so that we could talk all day and night. I thought things were going in the right direction until he came into our class to tell me he had a new girlfriend (WHAT). It's all ok because as a good friend I coached him through the short lived relationship and waited patiently for him to notice me as more than just a friend. My day had finally come, Mason asked me to be his girlfriend on February 1st, 2012, and of course, I said yes! Now 9 years later, in less than a year I am going to be his wife, Mrs. Peggy Ziemba. Who knew that scared as could be freshman and that overconfident football player would fall in love and would be getting MARRIED 9 years later !!
