The first time I met Mason I had asked Alexa (my cousin) to swing by so I could talk to her. I stood on the passenger side of Mason's car (blue and fast) and was just catching up with her. I had asked who the cute guy she was driving with was, she explained that he was her best friend. After ensuring she didn't like him, I asked if I could go out with him. She had originally said no but pulled me aside while we were camping and told me Mason was pretty persistent and if I like him, I could say yes to him asking me out. I was talking to Mason throughout the days leading up to him asking me out, and I realized he made talking fun again. The conversation was easy going, natural, he was funny and remembered the story's I told him, it felt like I was talking to a lifelong best friend. During our first date I was so nervous I'm pretty sure I gave him my whole life story (in great detail). He let me talk until the waiters told us it was time to leave and then we stood in the parking lot for another two hours just talking, me not wanting to end the conversation. He helped me realize that I have a voice that night and that I am heard. I am forever grateful for that night and all of the others that followed. - The Bride We met through my best friend Alexa. We were sitting in my car (Volkswagen Golf GTI mk7.5) and Khaylynn walked up to the passenger side window and talked with Alexa. I couldn't help but notice her beauty. In the way she smiled and laughed. At first it was an "oh she's really cute" type of moment. But then something in me stirred. For whatever reason I knew I had to meet her. I asked Alexa who that was and how she knew her, and it turns out they were cousins. It took weeks of convincing Alexa that I had to at least ask her out. Eventually I did. I took her to a local restaurant (Tokyo) and I will never forget how incredible she looked even though she was fresh from work and still in "bank clothes" as she calls them. The way she talked and talked about anything and everything, and I just sat there replying every once and a while, but in that moment, I knew this was right. It felt real. It felt... prefect. -The Groom
