While we've always planned on having a small group for this celebration, we will be doing all that we can to ensure that we can celebrate and spend time together as safely as possible. Please see the following questions and answers regarding the measures we will have in place for our event, per current CA safety guidelines.
If you are fully vaccinated, you will not need to wear a mask while outdoors, however a mask is required by our lovely venue in order to participate in the telescope viewings, due to the tight quarters of the indoor telescopes. Please bring a mask if you plan on star-gazing! If you will not be fully vaccinated, per state and CDC guidelines you will be required to wear a mask whenever you are not actively eating/drinking. This is both for your safety, and the safety of our other guests and vendors, as they may be going home to family members who are unable to be vaccinated at this time.
Given that your safety and health is our top priority, as well as the safety and health of our vendors, we request all guests be fully vaccinated now that all adults are eligible to receive the vaccine. This will ensure the best experience for our guests, as well as allow us to comply with CA state/CDC guidelines. Currently, these guidelines state all guests should be fully vaccinated by June 24th, which is two weeks prior to our event (2 doses for Moderna/Pfizer and 1 dose for J&J). You will be asked to attest to being vaccinated or agree to comply with masking when you submit your RSVP online.
While there is an option to present a negative COVID test within 72 hours instead of attesting to vaccination, per CA guidelines, guests in this category have to comply with stricter restrictions for the duration of the event that our fully vaccinated guests will not need to follow. For example, non-vaccinated guests must maintain full masking and social distancing by 6ft at all times, unless actively eating and drinking. Therefore, in order to have the best experience, we highly encourage you to consider being fully vaccinated. However, we understand each person's situation is different, so please reach out to Kelly or Mason if you fall into this category to discuss options. Please note, there will be absolutely no admittance of guests that have neither attested to being vaccinated or who refuse to wear a mask. This is for the safety of our other guests and out of respect for our vendors.
Formal invitations include the number of guests we have saved a space for from each household. We want to celebrate with our closest friends who know us best, and unfortunately that means we don't have room for uninvited guests, especially with the current state of the world. We promise you will know everyone else who is attending!
As a couple that doesn't eat meat at home, we've chosen a caterer that will show off how good vegetarian food can be. Feel free to get a burger after the party is over if needed :)
Honestly, this is a 25+ event based on the people we love and trust to celebrate responsibly with us.
While there will be no formal transportation provided, please see our Travel page for more information regarding Lyft ride credits we will have available to help our guests get home safely.
