Mason and Katalina met in 2017, at a Halloween party. It was there that Mason made quite the impression on Katalina. He was dared by her to eat a worm, and in true Mason fashion, he did it without hesitation. It was in that moment that he left his mark on Katalina and from then on they were friends, who secretly always wondered about each other in the years to come. It wasn't until their senior year that Katalina and Mason finally got together, and it was not exactly by their choice. They had a class together called Peer Mediation. It was in that class that Mason and Katalina began to know each other on a more serious level. However, since the class was small and the students held a responsibility as mediators, it possessed some rules. Amongst those rules was a very important one: NO DATING EACH OTHER! Mason and Katalina were getting noticeably closer with each passing day. It was brought to their teacher, Mrs. C's attention that this may be something worth having a conversation about. So, Mrs. C pulled Mason and Katalina into the mediation room and popped the question, "Are you guys together or are you not?". Mason and Katalina looked at each other, searching each other's faces for an answer and finally both answered, "yes?". And it was that day, Mason and Katalina's fate was sealed for life! From that moment on, Mrs. C officially earned her title as their accidental matchmaker. Little did she, or anybody, know that conversation in the mediation room would spark the most fulfilling relationship of Mason and Katalina’s lives. From then, Mason and Katalina shared the heart ache of long distance, the joys of living together in North Carolina and the ups and downs of parenthood with raising their cat Reesie Fidler. In all of those new beginnings, Mason and Katalina remained inseparable. They are truly best friends who do everything side by side. Together they are goofy, joyful, adventurous and completely in love.
