Mason and Joscelyn’s journey began with something as simple as a swipe right. After a few playful messages back and forth—and a little intel gathered from mutual friends—they decided it was time to meet in person. Their first date was a sunset walk, full of easy conversation and laughter. What Joscelyn didn’t know at the time was that she’d stepped right into “bird season for the boys”—but Mason was far more interested in her than the birds. From mini golf matches to country concerts, it didn’t take long for them to realize they had found something special. On September 18, 2021, Mason and Joscelyn officially began their journey together. Soon after, Mason pursued his dream of becoming a deputy with the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department, while Joscelyn worked tirelessly toward becoming a flight medic in the United States Air Force and preparing for nursing school. Through it all, they were each other’s biggest supporters. Their love only grew stronger as they shared milestones together—like joining Joscelyn’s family on a Hawaiian vacation, where Mason (and his mom) fit seamlessly into the fun. Then, on February 16, 2024, as the sun dipped low over the beach and the family gathered for photos, Mason surprised Joscelyn with the biggest question of all. With joy and without hesitation, she said “yes.” Now, with full hearts and so much excitement, they can’t wait to say “I do” surrounded by their family and friends!
