Born and raised in sunny California, Gretchen never imagined that Missouri consisted of more than cornfields and cows. Little did she know they had good lookin' cows; one in particular named Mason. Ok all kidding aside, in October of 2015 Mason found himself in the Los Angeles area teaching nurses how to chart on electronic medical records. One of the students not paying attention in his class happened to be the most beautiful nurse in all of California, Gretchen Robertson. When class finished for the day, Gretchen's friend gave her the courage to walk up and give Mason her number on a Starbucks' hot cup sleeve. For the next 2 months, Mason remained in LA for work and spent every moment outside of work getting to know Gretchen. Beyond that, the couple spent a year and a half in a long-distance relationship from MO to CA and visited as often as possible. After Mason proposed in Niagara Falls, NY in January of 2017, he decided to make the move to California. The couple now resides together in Oxnard, CA.
