FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding palette includes a special request: black attire, semi-formal. We want you to feel stylish yet comfortable as you celebrate with us. Please consider that The Resplendent Garden is an outdoor venue when selecting your shoe choices.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to a limited venue capacity, we can only accommodate those specifically named on your invitation. If you feel there has been a mistake, please feel free to reach out to the couple or point of contact listed below.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We love your little ones, however, we kindly ask our dear friends and family to make arrangements for their children, as you join us to celebrate our special day. Please also be mindful that alcohol is provided and this may not be the best environment for little ones- we suggest taking this opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved night out!

Question

What time should I arrive? // What do I do if I'm late?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. Guests are welcome to arrive as early as 4:30 PM when seating opens. // To ensure an uninterrupted ceremony, guests arriving after 5:00 PM will not be able to enter. If you do arrive late, we invite you to join us for the cocktail hour and reception starting around 5:30 PM.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

For your convenience, parking attendants will be on-site to direct you where to park. Please enter from Truman at the front entrance. Be aware that Google Maps may take you to a back road, while Apple Maps provides the correct paved route. We suggest using Apple Maps for accurate directions.

Question

Can I take photos on a phone or camera?

Answer

We have hired a highly qualified photographer to capture our day. We are asking for a fully unplugged ceremony, so please refrain from all electronics until cocktail hour. We encourage you to be fully present for this special day while also capturing your own memories outside of the ceremony. Feel free to take selfies with our mirrors—ideally before and after the ceremony—and share your special moments with us.

Question

What type of music can we expect to hear at the wedding reception?

Answer

Early in the evening, we’ll have plenty of music for everyone to enjoy and two-step to. However, around 9:45 PM, the music will shift to a more worldly style. We understand that this may not align with everyone's personal beliefs, so we encourage you to be prepared for the change in atmosphere.

Question

Is seating random?

Answer

To maintain the charm of our garden venue, the seating for the ceremony will transition seamlessly into dinner seating. Therefore, we are thoughtfully crafting the seating plan with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. Thank you for trusting us as we arrange things for the best experience possible

Question

As alcohol will be part of the celebration, should we arrange for safe transportation?

Answer

We DO NOT want anybody drinking and driving. The Resplendent Garden, of course, agrees. As such, they kindly allow guests to leave their vehicles overnight at the venue and pick them up the following day by 1pm. We encourage Uber, Lyfts, or carpooling with a responsible designated driver.

Question

Can I bring my own beverages?

Answer

We’re excited to celebrate with you! We will be providing iced tea, water, a few signature cocktails and beer. Please note that outside alcohol is not permitted at the venue, so we kindly ask you to enjoy what we are offering.

Question

Where should I stay?
