This is us

Mason and I officially met in high school, 9th grade. Before high school he was actually on my swim team a couple summers and even little 12 year old Emily spotted him right away and thought he was super handsome. When we hit high school I noticed he was in a couple of my classes and he obviously didn’t notice me right away. One day I decided to take the plunge and sit right next to him in AP Human Geography. After that a couple, of paper basketball games later, he decided I was cool enough to invite to homecoming and we began dating shortly after. 10/19/12. We dated all through high school and all through college and now it is finally OUR turn! 8 yrs later, I finally get to marry the man God created for me ♥️

Our proposal was truly incredible and everything I would have hoped for. I mean after 8 years you do have some expectations. Anyway, supposedly Mason bought the ring in December and was waiting for the right time to pop the question. That upcoming summer I just happened to conveniently ask Ben to do some pictures for us for fun since it had been a couple yrs and we LOVE his work!!! So we met at the beach to take a couple of photos and I quickly thought Mason was WAY to into it. He was trying to find the perfect spot, he actually asked me what to wear, he was even willing to gather all of our stuff and travel though water onto a sandbar to take some photos; and that is where it happened. He said “you know I love ya right, you know I wanna be with you forever,” and I was like “well duh, it’s been this long” then that little sucker got on one knee and asked. I was SO surprised, we told each other we would wait until we both finished school so this was a SHOCK!! Best moment of my life and I will truly remember it FOREVER.
