We kindly ask that you RSVP by February 14, 2025! (Valentines Day) After that date, booking for our room block will no longer be available. We will have to give our final guest count to the venue and all of our vendors at that point; so unfortunately we won't be able to have any late RSVPs or add-on guests. We recommend that you RSVP sooner rather than later! EVERY INDIVIDUAL should RSVP, regardless of whether the Save the Date was addressed to you as a couple.
Although we'd love to host anyone and everyone, weddings are expensive. And although I'm a doctor, I'm a resident (aka. I'm a poor doctor)... We ask you only bring a plus one if you are in a SERIOUS relationship (i.e. engaged or married). Your Save-the-Date will be addressed either to you individually, or both of you (as a couple). Regardless, you each should RSVP individually! I'll use my parents for example: James Roberts & Tara Roberts - the Save the Date envelope was addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. James Roberts"; however, both Tara and James will RSVP separately. Please respect the guest list, and reach out to either of us for any questions on this.
If you're not driving from home to the venue, then, yes, you will likely need a rental car. Obviously, one can use a mainstream corporate rental car service (i.e. Hertz, Enterprise, Budget, etc) at the airport, or try using the Turo app! Reno-Tahoe airport is approximately an hour away from the venue; and we will be in a remote area, so there will not be access to ride services (i.e. Uber, Lyft, and taxi services) once you arrive at the venue. We highly recommend coordinating flights with other friends or family in order to carpool if possible!
We recommend that you book your room ASAP! There are 52 rooms of different accommodations on site and the lodge is able to sleep ~150 people in total. While there should be more than enough room to accommodate everyone, it's all dependent on what rooms people book. We ask guests to please avoid booking rooms with more beds than they need so that everyone can stay on site. Reach out to other friends and family who are going and try to coordinate rooms! There are cabins, villas, and resort/hotel-style rooms that all have options of multiple beds. The Lodge does not care about maximum occupancy of rooms, so feel free to bunk up and save some cash. They also offer cots and roll-away beds upon request.
YES! You are able to book and stay on site from Thursday April 17 through Monday April 21!
The short answer is, yes, you can! However, the front desk cannot create, modify, or cancel reservations within group blocks. Please do NOT contact them for booking or to modifications to existing reservations. The easiest way to switch a room type is to visit the website - www.chaletviewlodge.com - click on “check availability” button on the top right, and then scroll to the bottom of that page. You’ll see a “Modify or Cancel a Reservation or Itinerary” button. Click on that, then search for the reservation by confirmation number (found in the confirmation email in your inbox), or email and password if you created an account. Once logged in, you can change the reservation date, room type, etc. Upon booking your hotel room, Chalet View Lodge will charge you for 1 night (+ taxes & fees). If you are staying for multiple nights, they will charge the balance for the remaining night(s) upon check-out. If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, please do so ≥ 72 hours before check in, and the lodge will issue a 100% refund of your deposit. Unfortunately, if you cancel within the 72-hour window, you forfeit your deposit.. If you experience any technical difficulties pertaining to the booking process, please contact Heather Marsh, the Director of Sales, at Heather@chaletview.com.
