Mason was home on leave for Thanksgiving in 2017. We had mutual friends but had never talked before. He invited my friend and me to come hangout with a group of his friends one night, but we ended up not going. Mason and I messaged back and fourth for the better part of that night. I told him before I went to bed to be careful getting home and if anyone needed a ride to call me instead of drinking and driving. Apparently, I slept like a baby that night because I woke up to 10+ missed calls from Mason. I immediately text him to see if he made it home safely - he did. He quickly changed the subject and asked what my plans were for the day and if I wanted to grab coffee. I agreed. I did not know this at the time, but it was his last day in town before he had to fly back to Fort Bragg. He canceled all of his plans for that day to spend the rest of it with me. Needless to say he won me over and the rest is history. We have been married now for 2 whole years and its been nothing short of crazy but amazing! Mason is FINALLY home from the Army and we are SO excited to celebrate with everyone!
