we're getting married

It all began with curiosity. One of our least favorite questions is, “How did you meet?” because the truth isn’t flowery or cinematic....it started on instagram. A single story reply turned into weeks of messages, which turned into our first (slightly awkward) FaceTime, then into three-hour calls every night talking about our worst fears, would-you-rathers, and places we want to travel. By October 2024, Mason was on his first trip to Kansas, and from that moment on, the rest became a beautiful history. We quickly realized we weren’t just two people finding love, but one soul finding itself in another. It has been the most wonderful journey coming together while at the same time returning to our most authentic selves, our inner child. The puzzle pieces of our story so far have created a pure picture of our love: dancing in the kitchen, dressing up at Disney, starting a business together, conversing in accents, competing in sports, and reminding ourselves to not take life too seriously. It wasn’t until we found each other that we truly believed in a love where the flame never dies. A love that feels designed for us. A love that gives unconditionally, stays strong when distance stretches it, and stems from both lighthearted fun and deep devotion. A love that allows us to be teammates in every part of life. A love that lives out the words of Philippians 2:2: “Make my joy full by being of the same mind and having the same love, being completely united, having the one thought in mind.” Though our hearts and minds already feel united, we eagerly look forward to making our bond permanent, becoming one flesh in marriage. What began as curiosity becomes two on a new chapter of life: as best friends, teammates, coworkers, and husband and wife. E + M
