FAQs

Question

Is the wedding still taking place with COVID-19? What sort of safety precautions will be in place?

Answer

Yes, our wedding is still on. Unless the State of Maryland prohibits such an event, our intention is to host the wedding as planned. Attendance will be under 100, so restrictions on groups exceeding 100 will not affect our wedding. If we are forced to reduce our headcount below 50 persons, we will do so, and we ask for your empathy and understanding if these changes impact you. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms, or are generally nervous about attending such a social event, we urge you to stay home. Our desire is neither to get anyone sick nor make anyone uncomfortable. As we get closer to the day of the wedding, in accordance with CDC and local health officials' guidelines, we will share additional information regarding social distancing, sanitation, personal protective equipment, safety measures, and more. We greatly appreciate your flexibility and understanding in these strange and trying times.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! The ceremony and reception are adults only.

Question

Will the reception or ceremony be outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and subsequent cocktail hour will take place outdoors. Dinner will be served under a tent, and live music and dancing will take place indoors.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Immediately following the ceremony, the bride, groom, immediate family, and wedding party will take photos for approximately one hour. During that time, guests are encouraged to enjoy adult beverages and hors d'oeuvres near the mansion portico and take in the beauty of the property.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There are two parking lots immediately adjacent to the mansion, which are free to guests. In the unlikely event that both lots fill up, additional parking is available. If you plan to drink, we ask that you use Uber, Lyft, or an alternative transportation method.

Question

Will dinner be plated or buffet style?

Answer

Dinner will be plated and brought to you at your seat with the dish that you requested in your RSVP. Following dinner, a dessert spread will be available at each table.
