We met at Mississippi State, through the Baptist Student Union. It was fall 2019 when I first noticed Dustin after he spoke at a conference about a mission trip he'd recently taken. I met up with him briefly after he spoke, talked about some people on the trip that I also knew, and just chit chatted for 5 or so minutes. To this day, Dustin doesn't remember that conversation. Fast forward to spring 2017, we were all hanging out with a group of mutual friends. At this point, we knew each other, but only by acquaintance. We were all discussing breakfast foods, and I mentioned that I don't care for bacon. Dustin said, "Even though you don't like bacon, would you still cook some for me?" Apparently, I said yes, and "that was the moment that he knew." To this day, I don't remember THAT conversation. Some flirting was exchanged, we hung out a few times, and a few dates later, the rest was history!
