For flying into San Miguel, there are two options of airports to fly into - Querétaro (QRO) or Guanajuato/Leon (BJX)
Since the Querétaro and Leon airports are a good distance from San Miguel, we do recommend booking a car service or shuttle to get you to and from San Miguel and the airport you are flying out of. Below are the services that we have used in the past or have been recommended to us: https://www.infotoursmx.com/ https://www.bajiogo.com/ https://viajessanmiguel.com/ https://www.las4milpas.mx/
San Miguel is a super walkable city! If you do need a car, Uber is available, but please do allot enough time to order a car as it can some times take a bit. If you do prefer a private driver for the day/weekend, please see below for potential options: https://www.sanmigueldriver.com/ https://www.bajiogo.com/ https://www.infotoursmx.com/ Carlos Moralles - +52 (415)-197-0153
Based on the location of the weekend's events, we recommend staying in the Centro neighborhood of San Miguel. Another recommended neighborhood is the Guadalupe neighborhood, which is right outside of Centro.
The average daytime temperature usually ranges from 75°F to 80°F. Nights are cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 55°F to 60°F. We typically recommend ensuring that you pack a light jacket and/or pashmina/shawl so that you can keep warm for the evenings!
San Miguel has a variety of boutique hotels, Air BnBs, and houses for rent. You can find our recommendations on the "Travel" tab
San Miguel is an extremely casual city. We recommend wearing light clothing as well as packing a light jacket/sweater/shawl to put on for the evening as it does cool down a lot in the evening. Please do note that San Miguel has many cobblestone streets and hills, so we do strongly recommend packing comfortable walking shoes!
For the welcome party, the attire is "fiesta casual"! We invite you to dress in a style that’s festive and casual, perfect for a lively celebration. Think bright colors, fun patterns, and comfortable, stylish attire. For the wedding, the dress code is black-tie. Ladies, please wear floor length formal dresses. Gentlemen, please wear tuxes. Since our wedding is taking place in such a vibrant and colorful city, we do encourage you to wear color! The only color that we do ask you not wear is white (Mary Rose will have that color covered!) *** Please do note that San Miguel has many cobblestone streets, so we do recommend shoes that you will be comfortable walking on those streets in***
