I first saw Ben at an event at my church. I noticed he was really nice, but I didn't see him again until about a year later. He came up to me at a young adults event at my church and we started talking. I was thinking “wow this guy is really cute and so nice!” He told me he was moving to Georgia for 3 months and I was so sad. I followed him on instagram that night and he messaged me asked me if I would get coffee with him in 3 months once he got back. I thought that he would forget about me while he was gone. Fast forward 3 months, he kept his word and he took me out for coffee and pickleball for our first date. We started going on a couple dates a week but I wasn’t too sure how serious he was because it took him almost 15 dates before he finally kissed me! Ben consistently pursued me and put the Lord first in our relationship. I very quickly started falling in love with this godly, patient, kind, and gentle man. I am beyond thankful that the Lord chose Ben to be my husband!
When I was first introduced to Mary Kathryn, I remember thinking she was so beautiful there was little chance she was nice—you can’t be both, right? It quickly became obvious she was a woman of character as well as beauty. I knew I had some work to do before pursuing her. My twin sister, Regan, helped with my fashion, and I started going to the gym almost every day. Before leaving for a three-month Army training, I got the chance to talk to Mary Kathryn and get her number. We texted for a week before I left, but I didn’t think it made sense to start a relationship while I was away. I worried she might find a boyfriend, so I asked her if she would want to get coffee with me when I got back. I feel incredibly blessed that she was looking forward to going out with me as much as I was with her. When I got back, I asked her out, and she said yes! Mary Kathryn is trustworthy, caring, Godly, and my best friend. I cannot wait to do life with her forever.
