The way Kent and I met could only have been orchestrated by God. While fundraising for one of my mission trips, I reached out to churches in hopes that they would partner with me in the work the Lord had placed on my heart. During one of those meetings, a woman I spoke with mentioned two upcoming mission trips through their church: one to South Africa, where I had previously lived, and another to the Philippines. I was immediately drawn to the Philippines trip and asked who led it. She told me about a young man from their church who lived there and now returned regularly to lead mission teams. She gave me his number, and I texted Kent that night. Less than a week later, we met for coffee to talk about missions and the ways God had worked in both of our lives. Our conversation lasted four hours, long after our coffee had gone cold, as we talked about our work, our shared heart for international missions, and all the ways we had seen God move. By the end of the date, Kent asked if he could see me again. I, of course, said yes! From that day on, we quickly became inseparable. What started through a shared passion for serving others became a relationship built on faith, friendship, and a deep sense that the Lord was moving us in the same direction. We both believe God brought us together intentionally, and we are grateful to step into marriage knowing that we are better serving His Kingdom side by side. On a perfect day in August, Kent asked me to be his wife. It was the easiest yes of my life. We are so excited to celebrate the covenant of marriage with the people we love most. Thank you for being part of our story and for celebrating the love of Christ with us.
