The Vow Exchange

April 5, 2021

After spending the week on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, we exchanged vows on Sandy Beach the morning of April 5th, 2021. It was a beautiful, windy morning and we were welcomed to have Maureen (Mary-Kate's Sister) and Justin (Maureen's boyfriend) by our sides. We wish we could have shared this moment with ALL of our friends and family. We plan to have a celebration with everyone in 2022, when we hope the world is a bit more predictable. Please be sure to check back to our website for updates on the date and time of the celebration. We love you all and hope to celebrate with you soon! The Proposal

December 20, 2019

We planned a weekend trip to NYC during the holidays to enjoy some of our favorite things including the Rockefeller Tree, Central Park, The Rockettes, etc. We planned to take the bus on Friday afternoon to avoid any stresses of driving into Manhattan on a Friday night... Steve dropped Mary-Kate off at work very early that Friday morning for an event, while he worked a half day and proceeded to get things prepared for this epic night he had planned. After a quick trip to grab lunch, Steve came home to find that our dog Lincoln had gotten sick all over his crate, he quickly showered him off only to have Lincoln run around the condo "getting sick" all over the living room. Needless to say, this delayed Steve's afternoon (don't worry Lincoln was fine). After missing our first bus, we were finally off to NYC, but then got stuck outside the Lincoln Tunnel for 2 hours. As Steve was sweatin' it out, MK was none the wiser and tried to keep him calm. As far as she knew, we only had The Rockettes at 10pm and everything else was moveable. We quickly checked into the hotel and headed to the Rockefeller Tree as Steve insisted on getting a photo in font of the tree at night time. As we got closer to the tree, MK noticed a girl with a fancy camera and a dozen roses in her backpack, and she thought to herself, "wow, something nice is happening to someone!" Still none the wiser, we approached a good spot to take our picture. MK was getting impatient that Steve hadn't gotten the camera out yet and that he kept placing her in a certain location. When he asked a "stranger" to take our picture, who did it turn out to be? The lady with the camera and roses. Steve got down on one knee and asked Mary-Kate to marry her. That nice lady gave Mary-Kate the roses and proceeded to do an engagement shoot at Rockefeller Center. Although it started out rocky, it was an amazing evening and we couldn't wait to start this next adventure, with a new rock on Mary Kate's ring finger.
