Things To Do

Welcome to our beautiful corner of the country! We think you'll fall in love with it just as we did. To make your visit one to remember, we've put together a list of places that are unique to our area and/or hold significant meaning in our story. Make sure to take pictures and share them with us! - Mary Kate & Sam
Lancaster Central Market

Lancaster Central Market

23 North Market Street, Lancaster, PA 17603

Before moving to Philadelphia, Mary Kate and Sam lived in downtown Lancaster for roughly 3 years. One of their favorite weekend activities was walking to the historic Lancaster Central Market for coffee and fresh produce from local farms. We recommend getting coffee from the Mean Cup stand and then grabbing a Signature Oola Bowl (Lancaster-founded acai bowl company).

Longwood Gardens

Longwood Gardens

1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348

Sam and Mary Kate's favorite place in Pennsylvania! They had their first official date here to see the Christmas lights in 2019, and Sam chose this spot to ask Mary Kate to marry him in June of 2023. This place is heaven on earth. The grounds, previously owned by Pierre Dupont, span over 1,100 acres and feature an incredible variety of meticulously maintained flowers, water gardens, woodlands, treehouses, a European-style fountain display and so much more. There is even a beer garden and cafe that often has live music on the weekends. If you are looking for something to explore while you're here in Pennsylvania - go here!

Chickies Rock Overlook

Chickies Rock Overlook

880 Chickies Hill Rd, Columbia, PA 17512

This trail leads to a beautiful overlook of the Susquehanna river. Beneath the overlook is the Northwest River Trail, a 14 mile trail which stretches along the east side of the river, perfect for walking or biking.

Terrain at Styer's

Terrain at Styer's

914 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342

Mary Kate's favorite restaurant and the perfect pairing with a trip to Longwood Gardens: a greenhouse-style, farm-to-table restaurant with delicious cocktails and brioche served from a flower pot. Make sure to check out the store and grounds before or after your meal for some souvenirs to take home!

Hersheypark

Hersheypark

100 Hersheypark Dr, Hershey, PA 17033

Sam and MK are both thrill junkies and visit Hershey Park every summer. Their favorite rides are Wildcat's Revenge and The Great Bear.

Covered Bridges of Lancaster County

Springtime in Pennsylvania is too beautiful for words. A great way to take in Amish country in Lancaster county would be to go on a self-guided covered bridge tour.
