One of our favorite places in Dallas, and where Nate proposed! Be sure to bring walking shoes, a picnic blanket, snacks, and a bottle of wine.
Downtown Dallas is home to the largest urban arts district in the United States. Its 118 acres hold renowned museums, art galleries, theaters, and outdoor performance spaces. Our favorite is the Nasher Sculpture Center! You can check out Klyde Warren Park too while you're close by. The space is full of unique spectacles and great food!
The Dallas Farmer's Market is a bustling hub of delicious food, expertly handcrafted goods, and great drinks! We visit the farmer's market almost weekly and always find something new. Located on the south end of downtown, it is a convenient and worthwhile experience!
Our favorite nook in the city. The Lower Greenville area is like a hidden small town, filled with restaurants, bars, venues, and coffee shops. Stroll along Greenville Ave and enjoy a drink on the HG Supply rooftop, the Alamo Club porch, or the Truck Yard outdoor beer garden. For a heartier meal, get a steak dinner at The Libertine Bar (trust us).
Our original stomping grounds. Living in Victory Park brought us together and launched our love story. The lively neighborhood is filled with sports, art, and food. Our favorite spots include The Henry, Mercat Bistro, and Hero. Victory Park also holds the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks. Visit the Dirk Nowitski statue when you walk by and enjoy the beautiful Happiest Hour rooftop view!
The streets of Uptown Dallas are adorned with lovely townhouses, parks, coffee shops, and restaurants. Parliment, where we went for our first date, is in the State Thomas area of Uptown and one of the best places for happy hour sips!
The Meadows Museum is the backdrop for many of our engagement photos, and is a beautiful place to visit! It holds the largest collection of Spanish artwork in the world, outside of Spain itself. Be sure to see the Wave Sculpture in front, it is our favorite exhibit! The Meadows Museum is located on Southern Methodist University's campus in the Highland Park area. The George Bush Presidential Library is also on campus, just a few blocks away. Enjoy both museums and the beautiful campus during your visit! Afterward, travel a short distance to Highland Park Village for shopping, great food, and a Mambo Taxi at Mi Cocina's Monkey Bar rooftop.
A must-see during a visit to DFW! Called "Where the West begins" the Fort Worth Stockyards is a historic district that embodies the spirit of the American West. See original brick walkways, wooden corrals, and even the famous herd. The longhorn cattle drive happens daily at 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM. It is surely a sight to see!
