We're so excited to celebrate with you on June 19, 2021 in Sunriver, Oregon! Please check back for more updates as the wedding weekend approaches.
Upon arrival to the resort, consider renting a bike from the Sunriver Bike Barn or Village Bike and Ski. Sunriver is filled with bike paths and depending on where you are staying on the property, biking is typically the easiest way to get around. The Ritzos have always enjoyed vacationing in Sunriver purely because they never have to get in their car. That's not to say that having a car to go out further on property isn't nice! Sometimes driving out to the marina or up to Crosswater golf course for a round of golf and lunch is much preferred. We are expecting good weather for the weekend (fingers crossed!) but know that mornings in Sunriver can be quite chilly. Bringing a light jacket to our wedding events may be advisable as well. To book any other activities at Sunriver (kayaking/canoeing, horseback riding, golfing, etc) we recommend calling the resort and arranging those activities in advance—sometimes time slots can fill up with certain activities.
Our first date was supposed to be at The Standard Pour in Uptown Dallas, but as Mary Kate parked her car, Devan called her to let her know the bar was closed for a private event. Devan had the idea to take the trolley down to Kylde Warren Park to grab a bite to eat from a food truck, but once we got down there...there were no food trucks. The night ended with us having beers at Renfield's Corner—we were the only people there all night and we even got a round on the house because Devan lived in the neighborhood. The bartenders told us to come back soon and we never did!
Devan made a wonderful dinner: barbecue shrimp with homemade bread—one of our favorites. After dinner, in our apartment freshly decorated for Christmas, he got down on one knee and popped the question! We celebrated with drinks on the roof before we told our friends and family the good news.
