Our Story

Christopher and I happened to meet at work. He had just started his new position as an Assistant Manager and was being shown the store the first time we saw each other. For the next few months we mostly just said hi, would sneak looks at each other, and had the occasional small talk until one day we quite literally ran into each other. We laughed it off, were both awkward, and then later that night he messaged me and apologized for being extremely awkward in our conversation. After that, there was no way of getting us to stop talking. Our first date was a Texas local (canes!) and watching divorce court- and we still do both very often. We had both been through the ringer relationship wise and for the first time in a really long time, we both felt at ease. It’s always been so easy to be with each other, so comfortable too. We became each other’s best friends and fell in love pretty quickly after we met. We’ve both known from the beginning that a future with each other was our mutual goal. To be each other’s confidant, to be married, to have a family, to struggle and rejoice with each other. We’re both Jesus freaks, and we thank Him for each other and the relationship we have every day. Christ is a huge part of our big day, we plan to make it known and to thank Him for pointing us to each other and for making it possible for us to be with each other and to combine our families. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

Proposal Story

We got engaged in San Antonio! We went for a weekend trip to visit Christopher’s best friend Micah and fiancé Megan (who both happen to be in our wedding party!). We took our time getting ready and made our way to meet our friends at the gorgeous Japanese Tea Gardens. We took a few pictures at the entrance ( his way of throwing me off I think) and made our way to back of the park towards the waterfall. We took more pictures and he took my hands, said how much he appreciated me, loved me, and that there was no one else he could see spending his life with and a few other sweet things that I cant remember because all I could think was “OMG!!” I immediately started balling, accidentally head butted him when he got down on one knee, and he got the ring stuck in his pocket (shows just how cute and awkward we are). But I’m sure the whole park heard me scream yes!
