At the right time in our lives God allowed us to meet. Andrew was finishing up his 2nd year of family medicine residency at UPMC and I was settling into my job as a school speech-language pathologist. From texting during Andrew’s night float to hours long phone calls and FaceTime dates, we were able to get to know each other really well and our relationship progressed quickly. When Andrew came to Staten Island to visit his family, we had our 1st official date. He picked me up from my house and took me to dinner at an Italian restaurant because he knew I liked Italian food. Afterwards we took a romantic walk at Rutgers gardens. From that night on we became inseparable. We would spend every spare moment connecting over the phone and whenever he could Andrew would drive down from Pittsburgh to visit and we would spend every day together. Our relationship felt natural and it was clear that God was guiding us every step of the way. We realized we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and on that fateful fall day Andrew made it official and popped the question!

Saturday 09/29/2019 was a very special day! She said yes! The day started when I told her that we had a reservation at an elegant restaurant as a surprise. Then, I took her to take pictures at Rutgers gardens where we went on our first date. We walked down to the gazebo where we had our best moment. I bent down on my knee and said, “Mary, you are very special to me. Since I met you, I knew you were the one! I enjoy every second I am with you! You make me smile and happy all the time. I want to spend the rest of my life with you! Will you marry me?” And she smiled and said, “Yes, of course!” At that moment, I felt out of this world like I won the lottery. It was the happiest day of my life! To finish the amazing day, we celebrated with our family at the Italian restaurant that we went to on our first date. It was like our first date reversed. I am truly blessed that I found a person like you! Mary, I love you and want to be with you forever til eternity!
