Jekyll Island Historic Landmark Trolley Tour
The Jekyll Island Club members created an exclusive Gilded Age island retreat for family and friends on this barrier island. Those empire builders shaped our nation’s future, now step into their past. This guided trolley tour of our 240-acre historic district includes entry into a historic cottage and admission into the Mosaic Gallery and Faith Chapel at your leisure. The tour lasts 60 minutes and begins at Mosaic, Jekyll Island Museum. Programming and tours are subject to change.
Driftwood Beach
Jekyll Island's beloved Driftwood Beach enchants all who visit its beautiful shores. The beach and its iconic driftwood formed as a result of decades of erosion. What was once a maritime forest is now a sandy shore lined with weathered tree trunks and branches, creating a sight that's truly unique to the Golden Isles. Driftwood Beach is ideal for a sunny afternoon, a morning picnic, and even stargazing late at night. Parking for Driftwood Beach is located along the entry ways, right off of N. Beachview Drive. A small paved parking area is also available near the bike path bridge on N. Beachview Drive.
Jekyll Wheels
Jekyll Wheels has everything you need to get out and explore the island’s 20 miles of paved bike paths. Choose from beach cruisers, tandems, mountain bikes and more. Jekyll Wheels also offers on-site bike racks as well as tune-ups, adjustments, and some retail. Be sure to grab a Resort Map to make the most of your ride. Hourly, daily, and multi-day rentals.
Georgia Sea Turtle Center
The Georgia Sea Turtle Center—Georgia's first sea turtle rehabilitation, research, and education facility—provides state-of-the-art emergency care to sick and injured sea turtles. Explore the lives of sea turtles and other native animals through daily education programs and gallery exhibits. Glimpse into the hospital where sea turtles are treated, see our turtle patients in the rehabilitation pavilion, and learn how our research is helping sea turtles in Georgia and throughout the world!
Jekyll Island Golf Club
With 63 holes on Jekyll Island alone, Jekyll Island is a golfer’s paradise. The centrally located Jekyll Island Golf Club features three 18-hole golf courses (Oleander, Indian Mound, and Pine Lakes) and the historic Great Dunes 9-hole course, whose links were originally laid in 1910, is located oceanside offering picturesque views.
