Our story began in 2016 when we met while celebrating the engagement of our good friends Chloe Spence, whom MH had grown up with in MO, and John Todd, whom Andrew had grown up with in MS. Though this is the first time we had actually met, we were well aware of whom one another was as Chloe had tried to convince us we were the perfect match ever since her and Andrew first met. In 2017, Andrew finally decided it was time to take MH on a first date. In true Andrew fashion, they had their first date at Chick-fil-A, followed by Bass Pro to find a new deer stand. Following the romance, they shared their first kiss on August 26th, 2017. After graduation from OT school, MH decided to make MS home in February 2018. MH and Andrew had never lost that special affection for one another. It took several years, twenty dozen pans of homemade cinnamon rolls and a few pushes from close friends to help us realize we truly belonged together. And we haven’t looked back since. 2020 was a crazy year for the world and as many would say, “the worst year ever”. But for Andrew and MH, it was possibly THE best year ever. It was the first talk of marriage, the first “ I love you” and most importantly… the year we knew there was no one else in the world for us. On the weekend of March 12th, 2021, Andrew was in MO helping MH move her belongings to MS for the big move and decided it was the perfect time to ask MH to marry him and make a life with him. MH was completely caught off guard. Andrew gave MH a notecard filled with words describing his love for her and when she looked up he was on one knee. After Andrew asked and she said yes, the celebration began. Andrew, with a lot of help from Amy Boyd, planned a celebratory dinner with all of MH’s childhood friends. MH had no idea about the dinner which made the night even more special. While there has been a lot of love, adventure and happiness in their story, MH and Andrew know this next chapter is going to be their favorite one yet.
