I met Rachel my freshman year of college. Her wit and ability to reference anything related to pop culture drew me closer to become a friend of Rachel’s. Since 2017, Rachel has just been an incredible friend. Rachel shows up big, she knows my heart, and my feelings (which is nice because I never know that they are,) and she is bright. I love Rachel and I can’t imagine this day without her.

Henry is my younger brother who I love so dearly. Since we were young, Henry has been a hilarious joy to be around. He understands me and knows me so well while also being the funniest person I know. He is a good man who cares deeply for those he loves and I am lucky enough to feel and know that is me.

I don’t think that I can imagine college without Tessa. Tessa is wise, compassionate and always down for a fun time. In the 4+ years of knowing Tess, I can’t tell you how many times I have come running to her and have been met with love and understanding. She is a steadfast friend and the way she pursues people mirrors Jesus. I love her so much.

Growing up Garrison and I were a duo! He is my older brother I did everything with and followed into all sorts of interests and places. So much of my life has been experiencing things with Garrison. I look up to Garrison in the way he values those he loves and is passionate about what he believes.

My big sis!!! Growing up, Krystal was who I wanted to be, and she still is! Krystal has always been one of my biggest supporters, she loves through her actions and has never let me down once. Krystal is loving and wise and such an amazing wife and mom! I look at her and pray to be half the woman she has grown into. I love Krystal so much, I’m lucky to call her a sister, and now a BRIDESMAID!

My younger brother Clay has been an earnest and kind person since the beginning. His outlook on life is admirable and inspires me. He has welcomed Mary Ellen into our family with arms wide open and I could not imagine this day without him up there.

My baby sis Klara! Klara is my girl, I have never had a doubt in my mind that she wouldn’t support me in anything I pursued. Though she’s younger than me, I have learned a lot from her. Klara is bold and she speaks her mind. She stands up for what she believes in, and it has inspired me a lot. I’m lucky to be her sister, I know she’s always in my corner. I love you sweet Klara, I’m proud to have you standing with me on this special day!

Lavery is one of my best friends I met during my time at App State. He is quick to laugh and engage with those around him. I have never met another Lavery Hoard. He has been a consistent support throughout my relationship with Mary Ellen. I am thankful for the thoughtfulness and joy he brings to my life.

Where do I begin. God really gave me a gift when Morgan was brought into my life. Though she can annoy me quicker than anyone I know, she also gives me life. There’s just something about the sister relationships that God really nurtured and blessed us with. Morgan is without a doubt the funniest person I have ever met, she is loyal and a light. I love my Morgie and I am so thrilled she will be with me on this special day.

I get teary thinking about Kate. I just love her so much. Kate was an unexpected friend, one that I needed when we met. Kate is a very caring person, and when she loves something, she loves big. Being on the receiving end of that, I am so thankful. Kate loves babies and her cat Kiwi so much. Kate also carries kindness around her everywhere, and I count myself very lucky to be her friend. I thank God often for Kate, and I am so thankful that she is apart of this special day.

Michael is one of my best friends. He engages in the conversations about things that matter while also being one of the funniest people I know. Michael has been a big fan and a great friend to both me and Mary Ellen before we started dating. He has been a friend that I can walk through stages of life with and I believe we will be walking through life together for a long time.

Haley!!!!!! Haley is my sister cousin who I love dearly. Whenever I think of Haley I think of two things. The first is when we were little, we used to make this drink in my grandma’s house. We would mix sprite, lemon juice, cranberry juice, and maybe orange juice, over ice. It was probably disgusting, but to us it was sooo cool because we did it together. The second being how much Haley is for me. I have never doubted her support in anything I have ever pursued. Haley makes me feel understood, and she is so dang caring. I’m proud to have her with me on this day. I love you Haley- sister cousins forever.

Samuel has been a consistent friend throughout my time at App State. I met him at Deerfoot Lodge up in New York and we have been great friends since. He is incredibly honest and such a great listener. He is not afraid to tell me what he thinks but also makes me feel so loved through his words and actions.
Gracie Wilson

I could write a book about Gracie Wilson, but she’s a better writer so I’ll leave that to her one day. I met Gracie our Freshman year of college. I was wearing cowgirl boots and an Eric Church hat and she talked a lot. Thank God for that day, because it was just what I needed. Gracie meets every person with kindness, compassion, and grace. I love how bubbly Gracie is too, it is what drew me in to become her friend. Don’t get me wrong though, she is wild. Gracie actually had a crush on Sam long before I ever did, so thanks Gracie for introducing us! I can’t wait to have Gracie Wilson stand by me on this day. I love her so big.

Kambria is my oldest friend. We met at YMCA summer camp when we were like 10? Something like that, but she is actually Krystal’s (my big sister) half sister. So, no, we are not related, but we do always tell people we are sisters because it does feel that way. Kam and I can go months without talking, come together, and it feels like we have never missed a beat. Kam is a great listener, and loyal friend, and a joy to be around. She also might be one of the funniest people I have ever met. I love Kambria, thank you GOD for YMCA summer camp!

My friendship with Ali was a very surprising one! When Ali was a freshman, I was a sophomore. Little did we know how much we needed each other in our lives. Ali is a very devoted friend that is always down for a Starbucks run with me. Ali is a friend I can be around for hours, and I find it restful. Ali is really good at celebrating others, and its really sweet. She is my bestie and I thank God for the TJ Maxx runs, dinners, laughs, and sleepovers with Ali. I can’t imagine this day without her.
