We first crossed paths online in September 2018. We matched on both Tinder and Hinge, and Dylan later told me what caught his eye was a video I had in my Hinge profile of me dancing. I like to think it stood out. We chatted for a bit, exchanged Snapchats, and then, like many early connections, things faded. Life happened, timing wasn’t quite right, and we lost touch. In March 2019, the day after my birthday (which had been a little rough), Dylan unexpectedly responded to one of my Snapchat stories. His message made me smile, and from that moment on, we never stopped talking. What started with casual chats turned into nightly FaceTime calls. We connected deeply, even from afar. Despite our busy lives and unpredictable schedules, we always found time for each other. Within a few weeks, Dylan asked me to be his girlfriend on only our second date. It was unexpected, but it just felt right. From the very beginning, Dylan showed up for me. In moments when I doubted us, he remained steady. He has always been the one to remind me of our potential, the glue that holds us together, and the reason we’ve built such a strong foundation. Over time, we’ve learned to be each other’s safe place, always growing and always showing up. Six years later, we’re planning a wedding in Tuscany and feeling incredibly grateful that love found its way back to us in its own time and in its own way.
