Mary Claire and Palmer met on a dating app called Bumble in November of 2022. Palmer had a cup from a bar called He's Not Here in his profile picture, which is in Mary Claire's hometown of Chapel Hill and where Palmer went to law school. This connection bonded the two, having a shared experience of North Carolina and cheering for rival ACC teams while both being Northern California transplants. We quickly became friends and enjoyed trips to Lake Tahoe for skiing/snowboarding, seeing a variety of live music shows, sharing humor with TikToks, and exploring the best food that Sacramento has to offer. We officially became a couple in November 2023 and that's when things really took off. We shared lots of trips up and down the California coast from Newport Beach, Carmel, and Napa and Sonoma Wine Country, as well a ski trip to our respective favorite mountains of Beaver Creek and Aspen.
