We first met in August 2015 on a boat outing to Lake Norman (shout out to our mutual friends for inviting us!). However, the stars really aligned later in October 2015 at the Bank of America 500 NASCAR race. Perhaps it was the camo, or maybe it was the jean button down with torn-off sleeves that we were wearing, but whatever it was we knew we had an undeniable connection! What started out as a fun tailgate for a race that every Charlottean experiences at least once, turned into a night full of laughing and dancing with each other. Luckily, we eventually found out that camo and Canadian tuxedos weren't our usual get up. However, we did find out was that we were each other's favorite dance partner and didn't want to dance with anyone else the rest of our lives!

In March 2018, we decided to go on an adventure to Spain and Morocco. While I was so excited for croquettes, Flamenco dancing, siestas and camel riding, little did I know that Will had far bigger plans for this trip. On the second day we were there, Will took me to the Temple of Debod, a beautiful ancient Roman ruin on the highest point of Madrid. It was lightly raining that day, but Will was adamant that we go. Lucky for us, since the weather wasn't great, we had the park all to ourselves! We walked around the park and temple in the sprinkling rain, taking in the views, and eventually made our way over to the reflection pool. After looking around, soaking up the views from this vantage point, I turned back to Will. Will was down on one knee asking me to marry him - I said "YES!", pulled him close and haven't let me go since! We are so excited to celebrate our next adventure with you all!
