What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding is a black-tie event. For ladies, please wear a floor length gown in spring colors and patterns. For men, please wear a black tuxedo.

Are my children invited?

Answer

While we love your children, we are not able to accommodate them at the wedding. We hope you will be able to make arrangements for your children and join us in celebrating our marriage!

Is there a rain plan?

Answer

Yes! In the event of rain on the wedding day, please check back on the wedding website for an update on the outdoor ceremony location.

What weather to expect?

Answer

Typically, you can expect sunny weather in the 80's in Florida in May, but we are also known for our unexpected showers. While the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, the reception will be held indoors.

Where should I stay for the wedding?

Answer

1. We have a hotel block in downtown Jacksonville. Please see the travel section on the website for instructions to book. 2. If you wish to book a different hotel or rental, the closest neighborhoods would be Avondale, Ortega, and Orange Park

What if I want to stay near the beach? What options are closest?

Answer

While we have a hotel block in downtown Jacksonville, if you would prefer to stay at the beach here are a few options. In order of proximity to the wedding venue are the following: 1. Ponte Vedra Beach (40 minutes) 2. Atlantic Beach (45 minutes) 3. Amelia Island (~1 hour)

What travel arrangements do I need to make to get to and from the ceremony and reception?

Answer

If you are staying at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel, there will be a bus departing at 5:15 to transport you to the venue for the ceremony. The bus will return for pickup at 11:00 at the end of the reception. If you plan to drive, please know that parking is limited at Timuquana. Ubers and Lyfts are also great options for drop off and pickup!
