The Wedding Website of Maryanne Marcolin and Agustin Marcolin
Hola! Did you really think we would celebrate our wedding without turning it into an excuse to travel abroad? I didn't think so. Our dream is to combine our world travel obsession together with the friends and family that mean the most to us! Sayulita is a tiny surf village filled with colorful flags and hilly cobblestone roads. The beach and town center is all walkable no matter where in the town you are. The weather in October will be hot, but pleasant and we recommend swim suits and light clothing. The town will be celebrating Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) which means we are going during a very festive time and our stay will be just that much more memorable. Since the town is very safe, it will be encouraged for everyone to join in the fun of the local street life celebrations. We know traveling doesn't always come easy for everyone so we appreciate everyones good spirits and efforts to make this happen for us. You all mean the world to us!

Flight

Flights to Puerto Vallarta

You can reach Puerto Vallarta from a number of different cities. Guests will be arriving from Sacramento, Phoenix, LA, New York, New Jersey, Australia, Argentina and San Diego. This is an International flight and you MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT. Passport applications are taking 3-6 weeks so please plan ahead. We recommend that you purchase your plane tickets NO LATER than August 1, 2022 to ensure you receive the best rates on airfare. If you plan to attend our Friday Welcome Dinner, Saturday Wedding, and Sunday Brunch, plan to arrive in Sayulita no later than 2pm on Friday, October 28th and plan to leave earliest on Sunday @ 2pm. If you are part of the Wedding Party/Bach Party, please arrive in Sayulita on October 26th. Our favorite site to search for flights is skyscanner.com. From here you can find flights and compare the flight number to flights offered with the specific airline. This is typically what we do to receive the best airline price. Once you book your flight, please notify Maryanne or Agustin so they can keep track of when guests are arriving and help set up shareable transfers when possible. Your dedication to joining us for this special weekend means the world to us! Thank you and love you all! **If you are able to travel easily to San Diego, you may use the CBX crossing and take flights out of Tijuana. Agustin and Maryanne will be traveling through here and use it for cheap domestic flights within Mexico. The CBX costs $40 to cross there and back and all border customs are done on the bridge without stepping foot in Mexico. We highly recommend this for anyone able as its is safe, efficient and tickets from Tijuana to Puerto Vallarta are around $100 roundtrip.

HOW DO I GET TO SAYULITA FROM THE AIRPORT? The easiest and most hassle-free way to get to Sayulita -- especially if you are traveling with family or a group and have lots of luggage -- is to prearrange your transportation. Taking a bus (Compostela) is one option, but there are several local transportation providers with luxury Suburbans and vans that offer great service: picking you up at the airport, offering cold beverages during your ride, child seats if you need them, and a stop at a large grocery store on the way to your vacation rental. On the day of your departure, these same companies will pick you up and get you back to the airport in plenty of time for your flight home. USE OUR LINK BELOW TO BOOK YOUR SHUTTLE FROM THE AIRPORT TO YOUR HOTEL. WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GET AROUND TOWN? Walking is by far the easiest way to get around the village, as parking can often be an issue on Sayulita’s narrow streets. However, if your vacation rental is located on a steep hill, or if anyone in your party has small children or mobility issues, renting a golf cart is the way to go. Whether you rent an electric or gas golf cart, it's a great way to get back and forth from the beach to your favorite restaurant, various stores and boutiques, and of course, to get all of your shopping treasures back to your vacation rental. EXPLORE THE AREA SURROUNDING SAYULITA For those who wish to explore other areas near Sayulita, and the beautiful Riviera Nayarit in general, renting a car is a fun way to discover nearby villages and markets, sacred petroglyphs, beaches and all the natural beauty that surrounds Sayulita. Gecko Rent-A-Car is a local company with great service and none of the runaround or hidden fees that you find with larger, corporate companies.
