Egypt does NOT accept all credit cards, typically Visa and Mastercard are more commonly used - however not everywhere. Egypt is mainly a CASH country, you will need to walk around with small bills that you can easily convert into Egyptian Pounds. The currency rate is approximately $1 USD to 50 EGP
Egypt uses 220-240V unlike the US. Most phones are dual voltage, so you will need a European style adaptor (C & F plug types - which is 2 round pins) HOWEVER, if you are charging any other type of device such as hair tools, you will need a voltage converter. PLEASE EXAMINE THE LABELS: If it says "Input: 110-240V," it is dual-voltage and only needs a Type C or Type F plug adapter. If it only lists 110-120V, you will need a heavy-duty converter to prevent damage.
There is wifi at the hotels for easy communication. Tourist SIM cards are available to purchase through your phone provider or here: https://travel.vodafone.com/our-destinations/egypt?c_code=sea-131-ao-VG_25_AO_P_C_J_E_X_US-PRF-VF-PMAX&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22893965019&gbraid=0AAAAAqPxYcGnSI7YQsUf45RZ5GyWpuq_P&gclid=Cj0KCQiAy6vMBhDCARIsAK8rOgnr4bEGYGx6R2NrZbqxbR1J_1CBhETN40ESs_2SMl0hrzw5PL922fYaAgWTEALw_wcB

While touring the city: Women: chest, stomach, and knees should be covered (this is not required at the resort) Men: no tank tops in the city. (This is not an issue at the resort) Wedding: formal attire is requested
