Best Man
Olin has been Wyatt's best friend since meeting in sixth grade at Discovery middle school. In college one of them declared "if we haven't gotten rid of each other yet, we are probably stuck for life" and it turned out to be a true statement. They share a passion for sports (particularly UW football), board games, cocktails, and any reason to have a good time. They decided the middle school distance between their houses of one mile to be too far, so they have both purchased homes within half a mile from each other on capitol hill.
Maid of Honor
Kasey and Mary met in a middle school math class and have been best friends ever since. No matter what state Kasey is in, Mary and Kasey stay thick as thieves. They have a childlike joy of their yearly visits and spend most of their time laughing. Mary is excited to share her special day with her favorite person.
Best Man
Nathan and Wyatt met in 2016 and have been close ever since. From their initial love of concerts to workout classes and world travel, they are always planning the next big event. A close friend of Mary's as well, Nathan is a key part of what makes the relationship a part of a community.
Bridesmaid
Jessica and Mary met at Mary's first apartment condo when Mary was 20. They have spent years together watching each other become the people they are today. They have gone through breakups together, explored the party scene of Seattle together, went to countless concerts together and so much more. Now they are embarking on yet another journey of life together.
Groomsman
Formerly a co-worker of Mary's, now relegated to permanent friend status. Michael and Wyatt can talk for hours debating fashion, design or the NBA. Part of a close knit (formerly) California Closets family, Michael has been a close friend and central part of the couple's lives over the last few years.
Bridesmaid
Michelle and Mary met at California Closets. They quickly developed a mutual respect for each other and have grown into best friends. They love to dream about the future, sneak off to cabins, watch movies, work on projects, and drink wine together. Mary could not imagine this day without Michelle next to her.
Groomsman
Wyatt and Jordan met socially somewhere around 2017 and have since developed a close friendship. Whether it has been meeting up at a festival or travelling to Tulum good times are sure to be had. Can always be counted on for a fine dining recommendation
Bridesmaid
Emer and Mary met on Emer's roof pre-pandemic before a concert. They became close during the long time of uncertainty that has followed. Emer has added a lot of spice to Mary's life (albeit none to her food). Emer and Mary spend most of their time laughing at the absurdity of the world. Emer is one of the most genuine people (accent still in question though) you could have by your side whether it's a pandemic or wedding.
Groomsman
Wyatt and Jeff met shortly after Jeff moved to Seattle from the Midwest. They ran in the same circle for a few years but have become really close since the pandemic era. His claim as the King of DYC is dubious but his claim as Remy's favorite uncle rings true.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Mary met years ago through Wyatt. They slowly became friends over their common interests of food, concerts, drinks, and the city life. They both try to have the most fun in each moment they spend together. They love to share meals that either they make or their partners make. Mary knows she can look forward to the finer things when Steph is around. Steph has become someone Mary cannot imagine her life without.
Groomsman
Wyatt and David met during their sophomore year at the University of Washington, where they were both members of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Always down for an adventure, he earned the nickname "Party Dave" which meant when it came time to move out of the fraternity there was no better choice for a roommate. Wyatt and Dave lived together for their senior year and have stayed close ever since.
Bridesmaid
Samantha and Mary were introduced through a close friend. He said "Mary, I am inviting this girl over and you are going to love her, you are the same". The same night they screamed clues at each other while playing heads up and he was correct, love at first game domination. Samantha is always there to have fun, be competitive, and add a silly flair. Mary and Wyatt enjoy double dates with her and her partner that can end up anywhere (dinosaur exhibit comes to mind). Mary feels absolutely honored to share this experience with Samantha.
Groomsman
Mary's Brother. Tommy's Dad.
Bridesmaid
Shila and Mary met through Wyatt and Olin. The friendship though never depended on their partners. Shila and Mary enjoy deep conversations, long walks, scary movies, and quality time with each other. Shila's big unselfish heart and her joy in celebration of others made her an easy choice for Mary to have next to her during this important moment.
Groomsman
Brother of the Groom
Bridesmaid
Anastasia and Mary met during the pandemic. Anastasia had just moved to Seattle when the world shut down. They soon hunkered in for as neighbors for a long two years. Anastasia is a generous, kind, and inspirational friend. When she visits town she lives in the basement of Mary and Wyatt's and they closely fall into family routines. The girls let Wyatt cook and take care of them while snuggling on the couch with dogs. Being a close friend of both the Bride and Groom makes her the perfect member of the Brinkman wedding bridal shower.
