It was the end of the third year of Medical School, Walker thought it was just any other day when he recited the oh so beautiful and appropriate lyrics of Fetty Wap on his Instagram story. Little did he know his future wife would slide into his DMs that day and change his life forever. A few weeks later he swooned me with his immaculate Salsa dancing moves, only stepping on my feet every two seconds. From the second we started dating we both knew that it was just meant to be. We managed navigating through 30+ residency interviews together, followed by all the absolute chaos of matching into residency, then moving to a brand new city together with near death experiences from a U-haul and two flat tires. After hours of blood, sweat, and tears, we've turned a house to a home. We've worked some long days at the hospital, but no matter what we couldn't be happier coming home to each other and snuggling with Doug and Ellie. On December 17th, Walker officially made me the happiest girl in the world. Of course he couldn't make it easy though. He put just an oh so lovely light up Christmas necklace in a ring box. You could only imagine my face when I opened up that surprise. After I opened that box he had another one waiting for me. I opened it to find a book of our love story written by him. The last page ended with "will you marry me" and he was down on one knee with the most beautiful and perfect ring I've ever seen. It still feels like a dream, but we're officially getting married! We can't wait to celebrate our love with our closest family and friends.
