Julian is an hour from where we live in El Cajon, which is a suburb of San Diego, about 60 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. Julian has great campsites, bed & breakfasts, Airbnbs, VRBOs, and hotels. This will be Labour Day Weekend, so you should book quickly. Nearby places to stay are: Pine Valley, Santa Ysabel, and Ramona. You could also stay anywhere in El Cajon, Santee, La Mesa, or San Diego.
Julian is a wonderful tourist town that will be quite busy on a holiday weekend. Please plan to park and walk up to a half mile. If mobility is a concern, please feel free to be dropped off at the venue and someone will be happy to escort you while your driver parks.
