Mary's childhood friend Hilary met Shelby while he was working at the Aristocrat. Hilary knew almost immediately that Mary and Shelby had to meet. After a couple months of mentioning this to Mary, they finally went up to the bar with Rachel on a night that Shelby "happened" to be working. It was a good maybe awkward first meeting as Shelby tried to talk to Mary, while also working his bartending shift. A week later Hilary and Mary dropped by the bar again. This time before they left for the night, Shelby slipped Mary her bar tab but instead of a bar tab, Shelby had written down his number! Texting carried on for a couple weeks until the first date at Shang-Ri La, where Shelby took Mary to get cajun food. Two official dates in and the pandemic shut down the world, there were no longer any options for dates outside of our own houses. After very little debate, we decided to be in each others "quarantine bubble". Best bubble ever- and as they say, the rest is history!
