What is the dress code?

Answer

This is a question we have been asked often and pretty early into our engagement. The short answer is semi-formal/dressy casual. Preferably no jeans. The long answer is like a modern day hobbit attending Bilbo's 111th birthday party or like you are a member of the Owens family significantly before the midnight margaritas. The vibes are cottagecore lesbian attending a LOTR party but still cute? If you want to cosplay and wear hairy hobbit feet we promise to laugh with you! Does a white dress fit this idea most to you? Wear it! (Seriously, the bride does not care.) The colors we have chosen for the celebration are autumnal variations of greens and purples. It is most important to us that our guests are comfortable and feel their best. We do suggest bringing a sweater and/or a coat since mountain temperatures and weather can be unpredictable.

Where are guests staying?

Answer

The venue we chose is ceremony/reception/lodging all in one. All guests have a bed at the venue. If you are more comfortable making your own accommodations for your stay, go for it. Our goal is to spend quality time with all of our loved ones in Colorado and from out of state. We decided that would be easiest if we had the option to all stay at the same place!

Do we get to choose the cabin we stay in?

Answer

Short answer, no. We are doing cabin assignments instead of table assignments. Just like table assignments we are mindful of who would get along best and are planning accordingly! Long answer, if anyone invited wants to switch around and all parties agree, sure

I live in Colorado and I just want to go home after the Ceremony and Reception. Do I have to stay the entire weekend?

Answer

Of course not! Everyone is invited to enjoy the weekend with us. We also understand if you want to go home and sleep in your own bed at the end of the day.

I'm from out of town and will be there the whole weekend. Are you providing all the meals?

Answer

We are providing dinner 10/29 and a continental breakfast 10/30 for those traveling in. We will also provide the reception dinner. All the meals we are providing we are cooking ourselves! We can coordinate a grocery run for anyone that is traveling and not renting a car. All the cabins have kitchenettes for use and the main lodge has a large kitchen that everyone is welcome to use.

Is there a grocery store nearby?

Answer

The closest place is the Ferncliff Food and Fuel 5 minutes from the venue or in Estes Park about 30 minutes away. Let us know if you aren't planning on renting a car and need to coordinate a trip.

Why did the original date change?

Answer

We were too slow in putting down a deposit for the original date and it was booked. So, we looked at availability and adjusted.

Can I bring my Children?

Answer

No, this is a child free wedding.
