Our ceremony is in downtown Knoxville at a venue called The Green Room. Our reception site is right next door at Jackson Terminal. You will not require transportation from the ceremony to the reception—all you’ll need are your feet!
There is a parking lot adjacent to the ceremony and reception venue. However, the parking lot becomes free to the public on Friday beginning at 6, so please plan to arrive right at 6 or pay for parking if arriving prior to that time. If the lot by our venue is full, there is a free lot by Barley’s and a free lot on the bridge above the venue.
The wedding ceremony will begin at 6:30pm. The bride will enter from the same exterior door that guests do, so please be sure that you are seated prior to 6:15. We kindly ask that you refrain from entering after 6:20 to allow for family and the wedding party to be formally seated. Parking becomes free downtown at 6pm, so we suggest arriving then to ensure that you find a spot. If you arrive early, our ceremony venue is steps away from a neat bar called Pour. Grab a pre-wedding drink. It’s never too early!
Our wedding ceremony will be held in The Green Room, just a few steps down from the reception venue, Jackson Terminal. Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors, but Jackson Terminal does have a patio that is open to our guests.
We are serving chicken parmesan and vegetable lasagna. For sides, we will have parsley potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and steamed vegetables. Food will be served buffet-style, so you may try anything we have available! No need to pick one or the other.
We will be providing beer and wine. Please remember to plan transportation accordingly if you plan to party hard! For those who do not wish to partake, water, tea, and lemonade will also be available.
We ask that you use your personal discretion when bringing children. Our wedding has a late start time and alcohol will be served, so please consider if your child will be comfortable and content until 10:30pm.
All additional guests will be listed on your invitation and online RSVP so you will be able to see how many additional guests we have accommodated for. Please be sure that you RSVP for your +1 so that we can get a clear idea of our guest list.
Yes, a block of rooms will be reserved at the Holiday Inn at Cedar Bluff. If you need a room, please contact Cynthia Cheshier at 865-250-4297. This hotel is roughly 30 minutes from the event venue, so please plan to arrange transportation. Uber and Lyft are available in our area.
The most important thing to us is that you are comfortable and ready to hit the dance floor. Our official attire is semi-formal. Additionally, our bridesmaids and groomsmen will be wearing all black to match our wedding colors (black, deep green shades, ivory, and oxblood).
All RSVPs must be submitted by Friday, October 4 to ensure that we are able to communicate a final headcount to all vendors.
Neither the ceremony nor reception will have assigned seating. Please sit where you feel comfortable.
While we would love for you to take photographs before the wedding and at the reception, we ask that you please allow our photographer to capture the purest memories possible by turning your phones and cameras off during the ceremony.
Only if we look good in the picture! 😉 Remember to tag us and use the hashtag #onemoremoore
It’s October in Tennessee. Could be a blizzard, could be a heat wave. Channel your inner Girl Scout and prepare for anything!
The wedding party will take some pictures, but while we are doing so, you will get the party started by grabbing a drink, mingling, and taking your own photos in the photo booth!
Well, I’m so glad you asked! Why yes, yes it does. Our ceremony theme is moody, glamorous romance (fitting, right?) and our reception theme is Halloween. Like most of Mary’s outfits, our main wedding color is black.
We are registered at Target, Zola, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If you prefer, we would graciously accept monetary gifts or gift cards to home improvement stores such as Home Depot and Lowe’s.
