Guests who need a short walk may park on the Magnolia House property; if that lot is full, parking staff will direct you to one of two nearby options, or you are welcome to park in the town parking lot on Andrews Avenue and walk over the Red Bridge to the back gates. Either way, please arrive with time for a short walk to the venue.
We’re hoping for a beautiful day in the mountains—but as the sun goes down, the temperature will drop. We recommend bringing a jacket or shawl to stay comfortable during the evening festivities!
The most convenient airport to fly into is Asheville (about 45 minutes away), followed by Knoxville, TN. We recommend staying in Hot Springs or nearby Marshall, NC for best proximity to Magnolia House.
Hot Springs is a small town on the Appalachian Trail friendly to hikers, campers, and those who appreciate a small-town vacation with beautiful views. Because of that, you won't find large hotel chains in town. We strongly recommend booking a local rental through AirBNB, VRBO, or the Hot Springs town website (how lovely is that!) at hotspringsnc.org. Staying in local rentals also helps the community as they rebuild following Hurricane Helene in 2024.
We are in a stage of life where many of our close friends and family have young children. While we wish we could include all children, our venue accommodations force us to limit attendance to children under 3 years old. If you have children under 3yo. and plan to bring them; please let us know when you RSVP! We truly understand that every family is unique, so please use your discretion when deciding whether your little one would enjoy the experience. If you feel that your child would have a great time, we welcome them to join us. However, we completely understand if it’s more convenient or comfortable for you to attend without them. Your presence means the world to us, no matter what you decide!
