We were both Design majors at UC Davis and had a lot of classes together. One day Mary slept through her alarm and ran to the bus stop over an hour late. She was nearing the bus stop and noticed a familiar face. It was Roque! We were both relieved to not shamefully walk into class alone. We became friends then and there. After months of hanging out and class projects together, Roque asked Mary out on an official date - and the rest is history.

We went back to Davis for a trip down memory lane on our 9 year anniversary. We reminisced about our first date and all the great times we had in college. Roque had planned a "dinner" for us in the arboretum. When we arrived, he led us into a beautiful clearing set up with candles, lights and flowers! He got down on one knee, I said YES, and we were engaged!! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Temecula!
